From 1963 to 1965, I lived in El Paso, Texas. NEVER will I do that again. I went to Texas Western College for two semesters and then joined the Army (see how desparate I was to get out of there?). From 1975 to 1978, I lived in Houston. I played in a band named Wheatstraw and went to San Jacinto Junior College for two years. All I can say about Houston is that it is way too big. From 1978 to the present (less 1983 to 1985), I have made Austin, Texas my home. I love this city, although it is growing a bit too fast for my taste. I have lived here longer than any other place in my life. |
